Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Usereviews.io beta. Please read them carefully — by using the Service during the beta, you agree to be bound by them.

01Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Usereviews.io (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

02Description of Service

Usereviews.io is a SaaS platform, offered during this period as a free beta, that provides:

• Automated review monitoring and aggregation from multiple sources
• AI-powered analysis of customer reviews and feedback
• Competitive intelligence insights
• Review response generation and management
• Strategic insights from analyst reports and market intelligence
• Data visualization and reporting tools

03Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you register on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. Where these Terms refer to a Consumer, they mean a natural person using the Service outside their trade, business, craft, or profession; a business customer is any other user. Some provisions below apply differently to Consumers and business customers.

3.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

3.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.

04Beta Access and Fees

4.1 Free Beta

• During the beta period, the Service is provided free of charge. We do not collect payment and there are no subscription fees.
• Access is limited to a free beta account with the features and usage quotas we make available, which we may adjust at any time.
• No paid plans, billing, or auto-renewal apply during the beta. Because no fees are charged, refund and consumer-withdrawal rights tied to payment do not arise; your other statutory rights are unaffected.

4.2 Beta Nature of the Service

• The Service is made available for evaluation and may be incomplete, contain errors, or change without notice.
• We may add, modify, suspend, or remove features, and may reset or delete data, during the beta.
• We do not offer any uptime, support, or service-level commitment during the beta, and you should not rely on the Service for business-critical purposes or as your sole record of any data.

4.3 Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the beta. Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without restriction or obligation to you, as set out in section 09.3.

4.4 Changes After the Beta

• We may end the beta at any time. When the Service moves to general availability, paid plans may be introduced.
• We will give you reasonable notice before the beta ends or before any charges would begin, and you may choose not to continue. Continued use of a paid plan after the beta will be subject to the then-current terms and pricing.

05Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data beyond normal use
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Remove or modify any proprietary notices

06Data and Privacy

6.1 Your Data

• You retain ownership of all review data, feedback, and content you provide
• We do not claim ownership of your data
• You grant us a license to process your data to provide the Service

6.2 Data Processing

• We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy
• We share data with sub-processors who help us run the Service, under contract and limited to what they need:
  • Application hosting & edge compute — Cloudflare
  • Database, authentication & storage — Supabase
  • Subscription billing & payments — Stripe (only if and when paid plans are introduced; no payments are processed during the free beta)
  • Transactional & notification email — Resend
  • AI processing of review content — Google (Gemini), Anthropic
  • Retrieval of publicly available review-page content — Bright Data
• Review data may be processed by these providers in accordance with their policies
• Our AI providers process your data solely to deliver results back to us. On the paid API tiers we use, they do not use your content to train or improve their models, and we do not permit such use.
• If you are a business customer, our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) forms part of these Terms and governs our processing of personal data on your behalf as processor.

6.3 Data Sources

• You represent that you have the right to connect and aggregate data from third-party platforms
• You are responsible for compliance with third-party terms of service
• We are not liable for third-party data source availability or accuracy

6.4 Data Security

• We implement industry-standard security measures
• However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security
• You are responsible for backing up critical data

6.5 Data Retention

• We retain your data for as long as your account is active
• Upon account deletion, data is removed within 30 days unless required by law

07AI-Generated Content

7.1 AI Outputs

• The Service uses AI to generate insights, summaries, and suggested responses
• AI-generated content is provided “as is” without warranties
• You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before use

7.2 Accuracy

• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content
• AI may produce errors, hallucinations, or inappropriate content
• Always review AI outputs before publishing or relying on them

7.3 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Reviewing AI-generated responses before sending
• Ensuring compliance with your brand voice and policies
• Verifying factual accuracy of AI insights

08Third-Party Integrations

8.1 Platform Connections

• We integrate with review platforms (G2, Capterra, Google, Trustpilot, etc.)
• You must comply with each platform’s terms of service
• We are not responsible for third-party platform changes or outages

8.2 API Access

• Third-party APIs may change or become unavailable
• We will make reasonable efforts to maintain integrations but cannot guarantee availability

09Intellectual Property

9.1 Our IP

• The Service, including all software, designs, and trademarks, is owned by Usereviews.io
• These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights to the Service

9.2 Your IP

• You retain ownership of your data and content
• We do not claim ownership of reviews or feedback you aggregate

9.3 Feedback

• Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without obligation to you

10Service Availability

10.1 Uptime

• We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced when possible

10.2 Changes to Service

• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time
• We will provide reasonable notice of material changes

11Limitation of Liability

11.1 Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

11.2 Limitation

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR: indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; lost profits, data, or business opportunities; or damages exceeding the amount paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim (which, during the free beta, is zero).

12Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Usereviews.io from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of third-party rights
• Content you submit or generate

13Termination

13.1 By You

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through your account settings.

13.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or harmful activities
• Upon 30 days’ notice for convenience

13.3 Effect of Termination

• Your access to the Service will cease
• Your data is removed within 30 days unless the law requires otherwise

14General Provisions

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Usereviews.io.

14.2 Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Luxembourg, without regard to conflict of law principles. If you use the Service as a Consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

14.4 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

14.5 Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

14.6 Assignment

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms to any successor or affiliate.

15Dispute Resolution

15.1 Informal Resolution

We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any dispute informally.

15.2 Jurisdiction

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the competent courts of Luxembourg. If you use the Service as a Consumer, you may instead bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and we may only bring proceedings against you in those courts — nothing in these Terms removes your right to rely on mandatory consumer protections or to use any applicable dispute-resolution or online dispute-resolution scheme available to you.

15.3 Business Customers — Optional Arbitration

Where both parties are acting in a business capacity, they may agree in writing to resolve a dispute through binding arbitration instead of litigation. Any such arbitration shall be conducted under the Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), by one arbitrator, with the seat in Luxembourg and proceedings in English. This option does not apply to, and is not binding on, Consumers, and does not waive any party’s right to bring individual claims or participate in collective proceedings where such a waiver would be unenforceable.
